Premises Manager

Waterfield Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Premises Manager to join our team. The Premises Manager is responsible to the Principal for the general safety, maintenance and upkeep of the school premises and grounds, and for providing a safe, secure, clean, and warm environment for all children, staff and visitors.

What does the role involve?
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the learning environment within the school is maintained to a high standard, including security of the school buildings and site; Health & Safety; upkeep and maintenance of school buildings and grounds; and building developments and projects.

Who are we looking for?
Your customer service skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work within a small team in a busy environment are essential. We are looking for a dedicated individual who will be a proactive member of the school community. Flexibility and commitment are essential characteristics of the role, in addition to demonstrating common sense and initiative at all times. Additionally, the Job Description and Person Specification shown in the application pack will give you a good indication of who we are looking for, including the skills and experience of our ideal candidate.

Waterfield Primary is a caring and diverse two-form entry school of approximately 300 pupils, set on a spacious and attractive site. We have a talented and highly committed team of staff, with a strong combination of experienced and newer colleagues. The development of staff is a key feature of our work and we collaborate closely with other local schools and schools across our Trust.

The Senior Leadership Team is an experienced and well-established group, which oversees key strategic areas of work in the school including monitoring pupil progress and the quality of teaching. The Principal works with a talented and ambitious team, with excellent support from the Trust’s Head of Education and CEO.

The Collegiate Trust:
The Collegiate Trust is a family of 8 schools, primary and secondary, located in the Croydon and Crawley areas, educating children and young people from 3-19 years of age with a clear vision to deliver exceptional education for all.

The Central Team is mainly based at Riddlesdown Collegiate, a large, outstanding (OFSTED, March 2023) secondary school in Croydon with a longstanding reputation for high standards and an exceptional education.
