Early Years Educator
Thornton Heath Nursery School provides education and care for children aged between two and four years old. The school is led and managed by The Pegasus Academy Trust for The London Borough of Croydon.
Thornton Heath Nursery School is a vibrant, oversubscribed school that offers the very best early years education to the local community. Our school benefits from exciting, spacious learning environments, fantastic resources and a highly committed, dedicated staff team. Our most recent Ofsted inspection graded THNS as ‘good’.
We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Early Years Educator (36 hours a week) – start date is negotiable, term time only.
All applicants should have had previous experience of working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and have a NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher.
We are looking for someone with:
- a thorough understanding of early childhood development and learning and the EYFS curriculum;
- excellent numeracy and literacy skills;
- the ability to relate well to children and adults -the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities;
- the ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and own position within these.
Salary range: Grade 6, point 18-20 (FTE : £32,925 – £33,957 pro rata)
